2025-02 Public Report

Unscheduled:

• February 27th: The link between Storfinnforsen and Midskog was down due to a misconfiguration during the planned maintenance SUNET-2006. Provider sent a technician to the site to correct the configuration, and the issue is now resolved.
• February 24th: The link between TUG and the core router MDU-R22 was down. After we cleaned the fiber patch, the link came back up.
• February 18th: The link between Kiruna, Falun and Luleå was down after the work from SUNET-1969. The planned work took longer than expected and services were restored later.
• February 10th: The link between Rantajärvi - Pajala flapped twice. Provider could not provide us with an RFO.
• February 7th: Optical node in Halmstad went down due to human error.
• February 6th: Routing to SH went down unexpectedly due to configuration changes in SUNET-C which is being decommissioned part by part. Problem has been solved and RFO has been provided.

Scheduled:

• February 27th: Fiber provider perform fiber maintenance that affected the links between Järpen - Meråker. 
• February 27th: Provider performed a rerouting maintenance that affected the link between Svappavaara - Junosuando.
• February 26th: Provider performed planned maintenance for cable rerouting, which affected the link between Storfinnforsen and Midskog. The link remained down after the service window and is tracked further on SUNET-2062.
• February 26th: Provider performed cable rerouting in Malmö, which affected the links towards ESS, NORDGREN and SLU.
• February 26th: Provider performed planned cable maintenance in Jokkmokk. Some services remain unavailable, but this is due to an issue with another maintenance activity that coincided with this one.
• February 26th: SUNET deployed active live monitoring units for all fiber stretches on the circuit going through Överum
• February 25th: The provider has completed part 4 of 4 of the planned migration maintenance at the JKK1 site in Jokkmokk. No outages were observed.
• February 25th: SUNET deployed active live monitoring units for all fiber stretches on the circuit going through Härnösand.
• February 25th: SUNET deployed active live monitoring units for all fiber stretches on the circuit going through Örnsköldsvik.
• February 25th: A maintenance to migrate the Sunet routers at SH to new hardware was performed, but not completed. A new service window will be announced to complete this migration.
• February 24th: Our provider performed routing maintenance in Göteborg, which affected the links towards Chalmers och Göteborg Universitet.
• February 24th: The provider has completed part 3 of 4 of the planned migration maintenance at the JKK1 site in Jokkmokk. No outages were observed.
• February 24th: SUNET deployed active live monitoring units for all fiber stretches on the circuit going through Nybro.
• February 20th: SUNET deployed active live monitoring units for all fiber stretches on the circuit going through Borlänge.
• February 19th: Provider performed a cable relocation, which affected the link to Netnod-IX in Malmö.
• February 19th: The provider has completed part 2 of 4 of the planned migration maintenance at the JKK1 site in Jokkmokk. No outages were observed.
• February 19th: The provider has completed part 1 of 4 of the planned migration maintenance at the JKK1 site in Jokkmokk. No outages were observed.
• February 19th: Supplier performed cable maintenance in Kungsbacka, Sweden.
• February 19th: SUNET deployed active live monitoring units for all fiber stretches on the circuit going through Varla.
• February 18th: SUNET deployed active live monitoring units for all fiber stretches on the circuit going through Linköping
• February 17th: Provider performed a planned cable maintenance in Jokkmokk. The link did not come up after the work. The issue is tracked in SUNET-2035.
• February 13th: SUNET deployed active live monitoring units for all fiber stretches on the circuit going through Alvesta.
• February 12th: The optical node in Halmstad was upgraded to a newer software release. No outage observed.
• February 11th: SUNET deployed active live monitoring units for all fiber stretches on the circuit going through Nysäter.
• February 6th: SUNET deployed active live monitoring units for all fiber stretches on the circuit going through Kristianstad.
• February 5th: We performed fiber maintenance between Umeå - Vasa.
• February 5th: SUNET deployed active live monitoring units for all fiber stretches on the circuit going through Karlstad.
• February 5th: Supplier performed cable maintenance in Kungsbacka, Sweden.
• February 3rd: SUNET performed a planned maintenance to switch fibers between Västerås - Eskilstuna.
• February 3rd: Sunet migrated all services from sthb-r1 to sthb-r11 (SUNET-CD).
