Connecting with SWAMID
There are two ways to connect with SWAMID: by becoming a SWAMID member or by providing a service that relies on a SWAMID technologiy profiles. SWAMID membership is generally reserved for government or research and education institutions in Sweden. A company or organization that provides a service to the SWAMID community does not need to become a member of SWAMID.
Connecting to SWAMID starts by deciding if your organization needs to provide identities to SWAMID. The graph to the left explains the simple process.
Research and education institutions (eg universities) typically should become members of SWAMID whereas an organization providing services that need to consume identities from SWAMID members do not need to become a member or sign contracts with SWAMID.
