Sunet TCS

In 2007, SUNET joined the TERENA Server Certificate Service (SCS), enabling us to provide server certificates issued by GlobalSign. That service was active until April 9, 2010.

During 2008, TERENA tendered for a new period. The outcome of that is the TERENA Certificate Service (TCS) with certificates provided by Comodo CA Limited. SUNET is currently offering TLS/SSL server certificates and code signing certificates via SUNET TCS Server, here at tcs.sunet.se. Personal certificates are available using another technical implementation (read more here). After 2015-06-30, you are not able to get certificates using this generation of the service.

From July 2015 we are using the new TCS service tenderered for by TERENA (known as GÉANT after the October 2014 merger with DANTE and a name change in May 2015). This time, Digicert has been chosen as the provider. This service is available from 2015-04-10 and is the only one offered from 2015-07-01. See the FAQ linked below for more information.
