Only those organisations that have identity providers and want to let their end users access services linked to SWAMID need to be members of SWAMID. Service owners who register services in SWAMID must meet the registration criteria in the SWAMID technology profile in question.

• 62 61 organisations are members of SWAMID
• 7 members are approved for the assurance identity profiles SWAMID AL1, SWAMID AL2 and SWAMID AL3 assurance identity profiles
• 46 members are approved for the assurance identity profiles SWAMID AL1 and SWAMID AL2 assurance identity profiles
• 9 8 members are approved for the assurance identity profile SWAMID AL1 only
• 8 members are approved to use multi-factor authentication (MFA) according to SWAMID's assurance profiles.
• 54 members use the technology profile SAML WebSSO
• 61 members use the eduroam technology profile

That an organization is approved for a certain trust profile or for multi-factor login does not mean that all users meet the requirements, but probably only a subset.
